TitleTom Petrie's home Murrumba at North Pine (now Petrie), 1907DescriptionConstruction of the building for the Petrie family was completed by 1864. It was situated on the eastern aspect of Petrie Hill, with a vista across the Pine River to Moreton Bay. This photograph shows the shingle roof which was replaced by galvanised iron in 1918. A set of steps led to a second building (added in 1894) which can be seen to the right. The buildings were eventually sold for removal when the Catholic Church decided to develop the site. Although a planned convent did not eventuate, Our Lady of the Way School was built on the site.
